And I am so depressed about it! He's growing up so fast... He's still nursing, still cuddly and so sweet but he's not a baby anymore.
Funny how it didn't bother me with my daughter but it's really getting to me with him.
I've been a terrible mother these past few days. I've nursed and rocked him to sleep instead of putting him straight to bed.

I just talked with my niece, who has twin girls, and have found out they have both been diagnosed with being on this. The twins were born 7 weeks premature, and we almost lost all three of them at the time, worst case was my niece.

At the time, the girls came through like gangbusters, but the doctors did say they could face challenges through the years and those challenges might appear all the way up to the age of 10.

I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant, and the baby (a little boy) has some extra fluid in the right kidney. As a result I've had 4 ultrasounds (instead of the normal 2) and baby will have to have a scan right after birth, as well as a course of antibiotics.

We've had very serious discussions about autism, and some people have brought up the theory that multiple scans can maybe contribute to a trigger, along with other factors.
Weighing the pros and the cons, I am still...

Mr maum has taken my daughter away for a whole week, it's his parents 40th wedding anniversary and I can't fly so I've been left behind.

I feel so lost! Little one left excitedly this morning, looking forward to getting on the plane and seeing Granny... So far I watched the 1st LOTR movie, eaten a huge pizza and done some shopping, it's now evening and I just don't want to go to bed. I'm so pathetic....

a question for all of you. How do you feel when it is one sibling's birthday and people give gifts ot the other sibling so they do not feel left out?
I was at a party today where this happened, the b-day girl was turning 1, the sister 4. we finished cake and the older one opened some gifts,,.I thought it was really wierd, especially since they never opened the younger one's gifts!

my daughter has a big mop-top that i dont want to touch. however, it is getting too long in the front and she pulls out- and eats- every elastic or clip i use. I can keep them in maybe 50% of the time at best. Because it is so curly, I do not want her to have bangs, will look like a poodle, right? what do I do until she can leave something in her hair or it grows out? should i cut it to frame her face a bit, then when she is older let it grow out? ugh! here si a pic showing the issue..
