In Pennsylvania, where I am from, the only group with a religious exception to schooling is the Amish. They can quit at a certain age to begin farm work without CPS intervention. The difference?

Imagine my surprise when I checked a blog I frequent and found this story on the front page. The blog is small, African-American focused and Christian in nature. This story might gather steam in the Christian community in America.

Again, I wonder if someone in his family can look into Federal Civil Rights violations as it pertains to his last few years of life. Was he denied property? Housing? Employment? Privacy? Was he denied free speech? If so, did this affect his mental state?...

I was really quite surprised and upset to read this. I was posting at OCMB when Shawn started filming the Scieno's in Clearwater. He was very brave, going up against the Cos all by himself with little knowledge of them and their dirty tactics, not to mention the perseverance and talent he showed in making a documentary about what he saw.
