Pre-taping allows them a lot of leeway to cover up her shortcomings by taping it over and over and splicing together, enhancing her voice, using multiple cameras and choosing the best shots, focus on her face rather than her feet, etc, etc, etc. I doubt it will be a full-on trainwreck (unfortunately), because SYTYCD don't want that to reflect on them. But I don't think it will be a sparkler either, it's just be....blah. And highlight the fact that she and Judy would never be in...

I predict that this will not be a trainwreck. If her appearance is taped, it will be heavily edited, with dim lighting, and lots of backup dancers. Maybe even a body double if they can get away with it.

She'll come across looking okay, and unsuspecting viewers will think that she really can dance.

I'm just sitting here thinking of what a train wreck this will be. I love this show, and considering that the contestants themselves have a hard time with the dancing, it should be really fun to watch KAK try to do anything smooth on that stage. However, I have no doubt they are teaching her a dance that is easy for her, probably like ballroom dancing or something. Just please don't let anyone even think about teaching her any hip hop moves.

Photos on X17 show Nigel getting into a vehicle, presumably after watching Katie rehearse her part. Of course it may just be a flash moment, but his look doesn't inspire confidence in the finished product...

I don't think Katie is ugly but she is pear-shaped--thin, tiny upper body and shapely lower half. She also has a very small head.

That awful, awful dress needs to spontaneously combust pronto. It makes her look very mannish.

It sounds like she won't be dancing live. Enough for me to know she can't dance. Wonder if we'll see any stunt doubles? This is just so weird.

Like psychotic I've not seen this show, but won't miss it for the world. If the Idol fans among us lived through Miley Cyrus, the Dancing viewers will survive this.

Seriously, there's nowhere for KAK's career to go but down. Because.She.Sucks. Surreal Life 20? Celebrity Apprentice 15? Just face the inevitable, toss her in a cage with Janice Dickinson and have the ole biatch rip her to shreds and put her out of our misery.

Jeez, I guess at this point, she's gonna try everything and see if anything sticks. So far the movie actress, the Broadway actress, and the designer/fashion icon angles haven't worked.

I imagine the "watchful eye" comment is because Nigel is a trainer dancer and a judge on the show - hopefully he's giving her lots of criticism.

I read this morning that Kool Aid will be appearing on their 100th episode.

I have never watched SYTYCD but you can bet your bippie I'll be DVRing this mess. This show will have a much wider audience than Eli Stone. I can't wait for the best critics on the planet (aka the general public) to tear her to shreds. Maybe she will get Suri to show her the Hokey Pokey.
