At the risk of sounding like I'm defending Goopy, which I wouldn't because I think she's a prat... just addressing the last two comments...

The country I live in has an aboriginal history that extends at least forty thousand years, but you have to go far into the outback to get any sense of how ancient the land and its people are. If you live in the cities where there exist hardly any buildings older than 100 years and where the oldest European building is 220 years...

Ahh I lived in Arizona for 14 years and I think the Anasazi's date back thousands of years. One of our favorite places was Montezuma's Castle where the Sinaqua's lived and built dwellings in the cliffs that have been there...

You know, she talks as though New York City life represents the way everyone in the entire USA lives. She needs to hop in a car and drive across the US---through small towns, suburbs, large cities and deserts, instead of hopping a plane to fly from NY to LA and calling it traveling.
