No but someone close to me is.

I was interested in seeing Scientology brought to justice before Anonymous. The fact that they continued to get away with crime after crime just sort of set my teeth on edge.

But I am a cautious sort and was sort of concerned about what Anonymous was about at the beginning. But I was just enthused with the fire of people finally mustering a charge aginst this idiocy. And while I didn't sort of consider myself an "anon" at the beginning because I didn't come out of the chans, it has had interesting effects on me that I did not anticipate.

Anonymous can truly be anyone. And there is an acceptance of anyone. You rise and fall on the basis of your own actions. It is truly egalitarian.

And IMO, its power comes not from the anonymity. Anonymity allows for defense.

But its power comes from the belief that there are no limitations. That creates the chans in all their gory glory. But it also creates a wave, a wave that cannot be suppressed. We create creative ideas and have success because we can. We do not think we cannot.

While there are many of all ages, it is that essential dynamism of youth that makes us a swirling mass. Hard to define and even harder to contain.

"How about that? You hold on to the tin cans and then this guy
asks you a bunch of questions, and if you pay enough money you get to join
the master race. How's that for a religion?"
-- Frank Zappa, to a concert audience at the Rockpile, Toronto, May 1969

"There's one thing that has stayed constant throughout time. It's an instinctual part of man to conquer evil. The battle of good over evil in this world has not changed. It has remained constant throughout the millennia." - Kyle Thomas Brennan
