Parts of rural Victoria, NSW and South Australia were predicted to reach up to 46 degrees today. I feel very concerned for the residents, the livestock and the native animals out there. Please pray that all the fickwit firebugs out there all come down with major gastro problems and don't feel like venturing out.

Yeah, I don't think it's been wise of the press to harp on so much regarding the extent of fire danger in Victoria in particular. It's like dangling a carrot in front of the idiots, encouraging them to get out there and start a fire. I lived in Victoria during the Ash Wednesday fires in 1983, and my suburb in Canberra was one of those hit hard in 2003. I sincerely hope nothing like those happens.
