I read somewhere that Gokey allegedly had a date last week at The Cheesecake Factory. Now, he's perfectly entitled, as he is a widower. However, he stressed ad nauseum about how his wife died only a month before his audition and how his audition was for her, etc, etc. By my estimate, auditions were in January? So Mrs. Gokey died in December? If that is correct, I can assure you right now that if something happened to Mr. PS (besides me clocking him one for not crushing on Anoop), I would NOT be dating within 5 months. I know some people react differently than others and I know time goes by very slowly after a death - - but after my divorce years ago, I didn't date for 2 years!

I think GR is correct in the "oily" assertion. I just wonder how much of this holier than thou, God is my co-pilot thing is an act.
The auditions took place in August of last year, psychotic. That means she died in late June or in July, so it's been approximately 9 months since her death; that's actually a fairly acceptable amount of time. Generally, men tend to cope with the loss of a spouse or significant other by finding another one very quickly. There's even an expression: "Women grieve; men replace."

My opinion of Gokey...I was a big fan for about two weeks. I like the "edge" he gets in his voice when he's really belting out a song. On the other hand, over the last few weeks I've been getting turned off by his smarmy "I just wanna INSPIRE people!" shtick, and some of his clothing choices...well, what the HELL was that flourescent white safari/ski-jacket WITH THE COLLAR UP supposed to evoke, other than derisive snickering? I half-expected him to pick up a tall glass of milk and sing Pat Boone's version of "Tutti Frutti."

As for Adam Fucking Lambert...I have to agree with everyone that Adam is an absolute superstar in the making; he's crazy-insane-monster talented. I mean, there's never been anyone like him on this show, ever. I'm convinced that he would probably have managed to become a huge star without AI. Talent like that doesn't go unnoticed for long.

On the other hand, I'm not a fan of Adam's uber-glam image. All that pancake make-up makes his skin look all pasty and just terrible. My lady-parts just aren't responding to the camera-f*cking, I guess.
