She says to do the sensible thing, that is cover and disguise. Long bootleg trousers, no skinny jeans, no tight lycra. Skirts to the knee, stretch boots if available, that sort of stuff. Personally, I think that T&S should be compulsory reading in the Anglo-American world. They apply an aesthetic of common sense to offensive behaviours, such as flashing thongs, muffin tops, fat bellies, fat arms, tits to the knees and so on and so forth. I have never seen their TV programmes because I haven't got a TV, but I have read all of their books and they are pretty much faultless (if we discount what I said above about taking KAK as a good example for a pear... they must have been on glue on that day).
