Labor hurts :rollin

That being said, it hurts differently for each person for each birth. I guess thing that got me through each time was knowing that the pain would end...eventually. Just when I thought I couldn't stand another moment of a contraction, it would begin to subside and I was sitting pretty for a couple of minutes until the next one came on. Transition is pretty intense and painful. I think the worst is when you are past 9cm but not quite 10cm and still couldn't push. My whole body would be shaking at that point but as soon I was told to push it was pretty empowering to take charge of things. Don't get me wrong, I still had memorable moments each delivery of yelling "get it out!!!" You shake and sweat like crazy at the end but the minute that baby comes out, you totally recover. It really is amazing. The shaking stops, your temp regulates and most importantly, no more contractions!!! LOL.

Whatever you need to do to get through to the end...go for it. I ended up with an epi for just one of my 5 deliveries. For me though, that was the worst delivery. I don't know if it was how my son was positioned that made the labor so different. The fact that he was an almost 2 day induction with no food probably didn't help. He was the only one that I ended up throwing up with and I attribute that to the epi.

GOOD LUCK!!! and YAY!!! for you :0)
