Prime Minister Stephenson King and Senator Guy Mayers were acting as politicians.  Archbishop Robert Rivas was acting as a LEADER.  Folks, there's a difference between the two.

Politicians tend to give speeches that affirm the status quo and are politically correct.  They are preoccupied with safeguarding their positions.  LEADERS have vision and convictions.  They are concerned with safeguarding the whole community.  Archbishop Rivas' words were articulate, informed and sound in Christian doctrine.  He publicly drew a line in the sand between Scientology and Christianity that cannot be denied.  I love it.

What L. Ron Hubbard said:
"A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights, are the aims of Scientology."

What L. Ron Hubbard really meant:
"A civilization without competing mental health providers, without opponents and without battles for legal recognition as a legitimate church, where the most productive Scientologists can prosper and upstat church members can have rights and where thetans are free to subjugate the universe, are the aims of Scientology."
