Psst-Bella, go to a nearby convenience store and get a disposable cell phone.  Call your Mom where the minders and bugs can't hear you.
Good idea that.  I sincerely hope that Bella is still close and loyal to Nicole. I've always believed (or at least hoped) that she sees her mother, if not often, then more often than we might think - just out of the public eye.

No doubt that her residence will be filmed and bugged. When Casa de Cruise was built, it was well-publicised that the place has 'security' cameras everywhere inside, in every room, and I do recall a story about KAK feeling suffocated by them.  Not only will she be well-surveilled, but staff will be required to report back to Papa Cruise.  How suffocating it must be for a teenager, about to reach adulthood, to live in a house with not just her father, step-mother, brother (when he's there) and step-sister, but her father's extended family as well. Add to that a religion in which everyone is required to report on transgressions made by others and it's a recipe for rebellion. Since the breakdown of her parent's marriage, I'd bet Bella has had very little opportunity to just be herself.

I hope this house is but a half-way house before she throws off the shackles completely and flees to her mother.  It wouldn't be enough for her to just rebel and move out, she'd have to go somewhere where she could get protection from her father and Scieno goons.  The only place she's likely to get anything near that is with her mother.

I'd also guess what's freaking Tommy out in relation to her dating is the possibility of her dating someone who is not only not a Scieno, but who might educate her on the evil Scientology ways that she has been kept away from. Not to mention expose her to the strong rumours that her father is gay. There's any number of things that he would not like his child to find out and rumours that he would not like her to wonder about.

Never discuss Scientology with the critic. Just discuss his or her crimes, known and unknown. And act completely confident that those crimes exist. Because they do.
