I wrote the following year about women being auditioned to be Mrs. Cruise. Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johnansson, and Kate Bosworth were on that list. Katie Holmes, the youngest and most vulnerable, wound up the “winner.” I reported then exclusively that she left New York for a meeting with Cruise on “Mission Impossible 3″ around April 12, 2005 and was not seen or heard from again for 16 days until she turned up in Rome as the love of Tom Cruise’s life.

its funny that he cant do his research to know that actually out of all the actresses rumoured about, katie was the second oldest after garner.
scarlett is younger than her by (6 yrs), kat bosworth(5) and jessica alba(3)

and am sure she had been in the business longer than or at least the same years as the rest of them.....yet those other ones were intelligent to realize the benifts might not outweigh the negatives

Yet somehow people like friedman  want us to think poor naive katie was just joey potter and so meek , naive that she didnt know any better haha

Exactly. Not only was she actually the second oldest, but the infamous "missing 16 days" turned out to be incorrect as well. Between this and his temper tantrum regarding what happened during the Son of No One screening at Sundance, I don't think anything that Friedman writes about his bff can be taken as fact.

Gee, maybe he can use his power and influence to get his pal the roles she deserves. Oh, wait a minute. This is the guy who managed to get himself fired from FOX for reviewing a movie he watched via an illegal download. (I've said it a million times, but I don't think his criticism of Cruise had anything to do with him being fired.)
