A bit off topic, but as I was trawling through Marty Rathbun's blog after reading the Village Voice coverage of the Vanity Fair article, I came across this comment by Mike Rinder about Katie's former Scieno minder Jessica Feshbach - current wife of Tommy Davis, and reportedly terminally ill with cancer.

Marty — latest word on the grapevine.

Jessica is recovered but she and Tommy have no intention of returning to the Sea Org.

In fact, they are enjoying a European Vacation with Anne and Terry.

Dave is scared shitless about what Tommy and Jessica know. They will be given the kid glove treatment. I very much doubt they will be sent a $350,000 Freeloader bill or receive a visit from Marion Pouw and Mike Sutter….

Sooner or later his conscience will eat away at him.

Ugh!  You can always count on Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun to skew insider info into another "Bash Miscavige" episode while completely ignoring the details that people are actually interested in.  The focus is supposed to be about Tommy Davis and Jessica Feschbach (sp?), OK guys?  Who cares if Miscavige is crapping in his pants?  That's a given these days.

"Recovered"?  How does one recover from an (alleged) terminal illness?  Does he mean Jessica's cancer is in remission?  Does Rinder know the true status of Jessica's medical condition or is he viewing it through his rose-coloured Scientology glasses again?

Does Anne Archer (mother of Tommy Davis) know of Tommy and Jessica's decision NOT to return to the Sea Org and their reasons for why?  If so, what was her reaction?  Shouldn't that knowledge cause Anne to question what's happening within the Scientology organization to drive two dedicated young people away?

Is Tommy and Jessica out of Scientology, period?  Will they be returning to Co$ as "publics"?  Do they consider themselves as "Independents"?  Are they being drawn into that group?

Are the two MRs in direct contact with Tommy & Jess and on good speaking terms with them?  Or was this inside scoop relayed to them via another source?
