I reviewed the following book for amazon.com, The Creation of Anne Boleyn, and author Susan Boro came to the conclusion that Anne probably looked similar to the popular portraits that depict her-if only because there were several portraits of Elizabeth I done throughout her life and she certainly shared some of her mother's feature-but she was probably not the black-haired temptress. "Raven" and even "dark-haired" were often used in that time to describe anyone with brown hair. Boro's guess was that Anne probably had light to medium brown hair.

It's a pretty interesting book chock full of trivia.

Also, it's probably a total falsehood that Anne had 6 fingers.
