Having a bunch of strangers around the world--let alone your peers--endlessly tease you about your sexual identity and putting it all under public scrutiny is not "cute" nor fun. It's humiliating
This is what I've been trying to say. I don't think there's anyone here who actually thinks that putting the kid in a pink bikini is going to "make" him gay, nor do I think that that's the main point of the public objection to the photos.

We on this list are often outraged about celebrities giving kids ridiculous names because of the potential for humiliation and teasing from their peers and others. I would think something like this would be worse -- and at least a child can change his or her name once they turn 18. A photo on the internet is forever.
