Other than that, you quote by putting the word "quote" into these angular parantheses, []. You open the parentheses, [ , and then type "quote" and then close the parentheses with this: ]. You put the post or message that you want to quote. At the end of the quote you open the parentheses again, just like above, like this: [, however, you NOW put this diagonal slash / before you write "quote" and then you write "quote" again and close the parentheses, ]. image
OK, that method works, but if I want to originator's name on the quote, but don't want the whole post (just the relevant bit), how do I do that without using the quote command then backspacing out the excess bits?
