Tommy Boy looks more than tired...he looks beat up (his right eyelid appears slightly bigger than the one on the left). Now I can see why he wears the shades so often.

It aggravates me to no end how Scientologists cannot give a straight answer about their beliefs. The typical response of "Scientology gives tools to better your life" is so vague. Everyone aspires to having a better life but how does one actually get it? What exactly is considered "the better life"? Why don't we have that "better" life? What is the solution to the problems that prevent us from having it? Every single philosophy and religion has a worldview--that is, a unique perspective about the self, the world, the problems within them and the answer(s). A worldview grapples with issues such as origins (where do I come from?), identity (who am I?), the future (where am I going?), etc. How difficult is it for Scientologist to give specifics to these questions when they're asked? Why are seekers advised to turn away from hearing all dissenting voices and to only rely on Scieno sources to get all their information? That doesn't sound very well-rounded or fair. Why can't people listen to both sides?

Being open means you're vulnerable to being challenged. Scientology is the perfect "religion" for cowards because it can't withstand scrutiny. Dianetics didn't stand up to the review of the scientific/medical establishment. Instead of owning up to its failures or reforming itself, Hubbard lashed out at psychiatrists instead.
