For me, the sexual orientation of the actors doesnt matter so long as theres chemistry there, Ive seen plenty of films where the (presumably hetero) actors havent clicked, whether that be down to poor acting ability or a genuine dislike between the actors which can burst my bubble. Generally speaking tho' I dont have to want to bed the lead to enjoy a film image

I cant know for sure the Producers/Studio Heads/MPAA/Casting agents/actors agents etc are towing the line and pressurising actors to keep it private. In my mind it shouldnt make a difference eitherway, I guess the aforementioned are looking for a safe bet that their films/TV programs will make money at the end of the day

To my mind the endless speculation may aid the actors careers (see Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Jake Gyllenhaal as an example) publicity that pays for itself eh!, Cary Grant's orienation was also under scrutiny, although in his case i couldnt state with any certanty that it would have helped his career as such, but it seems very similar to MTP in that many people in the business "know it" but to the general public its fiercely denied
