X0m81e: I agree with you, on every point. My english just isn't good enough to express my feelings here.

Another reason why I never really think about Kevin Spacey being gay is because he really BECOMES his characters. He's such a talented actor, he can do anybody. And he keeps his personal life to himself, nobody really knows anything about him and he seems to prefer to stay away from the media. So I don't really think of him as Kevin Spacey when I see any of his movies, he just is who he is playing.

Whereas TC (or other BIG moviestars) is such a huge STAR that every time I see him in a movie I always think "Oh there's Tom Cruise!" Does anybody else do that too?
It's the same with a lot of other moviestars - every time I see Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt in a film I just start to think "Angelina, Angelina, Angelina... I wonder how she has the time and energy to raise four (soon to be six!9 kids... and all those tattoos, man that must have been painful...".
They are just too famous, we know so much about them and se photos of them in the news every day, that their real life persona sort of gets in the way of the character they are playing. If any of them were openly gay, I probably would start to think ablut that too in the middle of the movie.
