Katie Holmes arrives at Sony Pictures Studios on Tuesday (April 5)
in Culver City, Calif. This is a bit odd to me.
I work at the Sony lot. The guy driving the cart is the sound ambassador, meaning he picked up Katie to do work relating to the sound dept. Likely ADR for the Adam Sandler movie.
Thing is, I recognize where he's picking her up from, and that lot is a PRIVATE lot! You have to get past a security gate and that particular lot, since it's small, is mostly used for Columbia Tristar VIPs, executives or as sound VIP overflow. I've seen Will Smith and Chris Rock park there. No telephoto lens will get you that angle from a publicly accessible space. Either Katie brought in her own photog to shoot her, it was an "inside job" (meaning someone with access to that lot was photographing her, and they'd have to be pretty sly about it as it's a heavily monitored parking lot under surveillance, and they would had to have known she arrived at that very second), or I guess the 3rd option is someone on the lot that day just randomly took the pictures with a cell phone on the sly (Not likely considering the quality). But you can't just randomly hang out there with a big camera. I guess all movie lots have security leaks... e.g. where the security finds out a VIP is coming and sneaks paparazzi in? But that would be a very risky currently, because they're shooting a big movie on the lot right now that rhymes with "Schneider Ma'am" and anyone with a suspiciously large lens would be stopped and questioned for their permit.
Like most things Tomkat, this smells really funny to me. It's a tough parking lot to get access to unless you have specific business there. I mean, I can walk through that parking lot and all, but I can't just hang out there waiting to take a picture. It would look suspicious. If you ask me, it looks like someone parked in that lot and took pictures of her from their car, so unless Katie brought them (I hope she isn't that sad and pathetic, and I don't really see what the pictures are proving if she did) it looks a lot like security felt it was worth sneaking a pap in. I'm gonna chat with the ambassador about how much heads up they give gate security about arriving VIPs.
