I think this is the very first time I ever posted in this forum. Took me long enough, eh? LOL!!
Anyway, my sister-in-law emailed this wonderful video to me recently and I just had to pass it on because it was so good.
I don't have children of my own but I work with a lot of them as part of my job. The video's messages of realizing each child's inherent worth, uniqueness and potential struck a deep chord. How often do we see a young person's natural talent being squandered or hidden in order to conform to a rigid educational system? Far too many, I would argue. I'm also reminded, as an educator, to be very concious of how I evaluate and/or relate to my students. Lots of food for thought. Here's the link:
