Creating a collage or collection of "Death Grip" photos is a GREAT idea!! I was thinking of doing it myself but alas, the task is quite time consuming (there are plenty of photos). Anyway, I think it's worth documenting because it's something that everyone notices as being strange and it bugs the heck out of me. We need visual proofs of the possessive/awkward hand and arm holding!! Hmmm...I recall a thread we did which analyzed TomKat's body language (I'm sure it's in the FK archives). Here's my contribution (excuse the added captions. Heh, heh  ):

I've never really gone through the gallery on katieholmespictures.com, but damn if almost every album in the 2006 "out and about" section didn't have them walking along, holding hands at some point. That's one thing that really strikes me as being fake; it's like they feel the need to prove something. And we still see/hear the same stuff today, with almost every report mentioning that they spent the entire time holding hands. |

Prom Night for TomKat?Decked out in off-white ensembles, shades and similar bowl-cuts, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes looked like they were ready to attend a thetan prom while in Cannes on Tuesday. L. Ron Hubbard High's Class of '07!
Hadn't seen this one before, but the trademark Tomster uses his right hand to reach across his body to grab Katie's right hand in the most awkward handholding I've ever seen. Plus, interesting outfit Katie has on....are those shorts on under her dress? |

Katie was still so cute and full of sparkle and life when this photo was taken.Actually, when I look at pictures from that day (and timeframe) I see a girl who looks strung out (huge dark circles under her eyes) and unhealthy (gray skin and cold sores that even makeup couldn't hide). Honestly, I don't think she's looked good from Day One of this charade. She was just a bit more manic than she is now. |

As you found Suzydoll there are literally hundreds of these photos. What about the 'presenting the prize calf' at the Oscars and my other favourite,
when KAK was hugging someone, think it may have been Will Smith and Tiny grasps her fingers at the back.

Looking back on those photos, what struck me is the amount of times KAK was going over the top in affection for MTP.
It looked ridiculous, she never looked like that with Chris, they looked like a normal couple. I get the feeling in the beginning she felt she owed him something, which ties in well with my 'MTP the rescuer from the unfortunate unplanned pregnancy situation'. *nods* That pic above that UYTC posted is the KAK doing the cute 'tongue between the teeth' thing that MTP so loves. |

I think Tom wore the tie to so that he wouldn't just match her dress, but jewelry as well nanuq. It looks like the gem in Katie's
necklace is pink, too.
