Posts: 3151 04/16/08 09:25:06	Robots Don't Cry! This week's cover of both Star Magazine and InTouch features the crumbling alien kingdom of Tom and Katie. And Suri is the robot in the middle! I love Star's little Suri bubble with the words, "Don't cry mommy." I wonder what Suri sounds like? I'm guessing she pretty much sounds like Amazing Amanda with a hint of the airport voice that tells you "the white zone is for unloading only." Star claims Katie plans to star on Broadway and is using this chance to escape from Tom. Tommy Girl isn't having any of it and will allow Katie to move to NYC as long as he comes along. The battle doesn't stop there. Tom and Kate have been fighting over Suri. A source said, "Tom wants to call all the shots when it comes to Suri. He has a lot of rules, and there's conflict." Blah! Blah! Same alien bullshit. It's not over until her contract is up! Plain and simple. And in hotter news, Suri turns 2 on April 18th. Party around the universe. Or does that mean she has to be legally married to him for 5 years?? As for the star article about "The fight for Suri" i don't think there will be much of a fight when this all ends in imo. I don't really think she has any emotional bond with her kid at all. She's been using Suri for her own gain from the beginning. If Tom gets custody of this kid I don't think Katie will be all that upset about it.

I guess it's part of that whole "Stepford Wife" persona she has going on: a complete makeover to a 40 year old Hollywood matron, nonstop OTT gushing in interview about how amazing her life is, 100% complete with Suri and Tom and how she always tries to make Tom happy and with the baking cupkates etc, not necessarily how "perfect" she was in reality. Hmm........Just rubbish made up gossip, the start of PR wars or an insider looking for cash? Considering 2 tabloids are carrying the story in the same week it seems someone must have been peddling the gossip though how actually "informed" they are is anyone's guess. They probably do mean the pressure to be perfect, but I think some of these magazines do seem to believe she actually has been leading some sort of 'perfect' lifestyle with her husband. I can't speak for the magazines mentioned here, but a local magazine (in Australia), Woman's Day, ran a story last week where they were interpreting Katie looking so ill and distressed as her cracking under the pressure of the demands of an A-list lifestyle and trying to keep up with her husband's 'boundless' energy. Woman's Day is a tabloid crossed with a feel-good read for Mums, so it tends to be both scandal-mongering and celeb-worshipping. I think so far their angle has been that Katie has blossomed in her marriage () and that she was leading some ideal, enviable life as a glamourous celebrity wife and 'style icon'. It seems they're now going with the flipside of that narrative they created. Instead of researching what might actually be going on, having any real insider tips or even just some common-sense insight (i.e. that she probably follows ill-advised Scientology 'health' regimes, and is suffering some major cognitive dissonance between what she perceived her fairytale life to be and the reality), they use their limited imaginations to think up why she could be looking so unhappy, based on the bull they believed in the first place. I've also noticed that these mags tend to try to have continuity in their storylines, so they don't have to admit any of it was ever fiction! So if they ever printed that she had this wonderful lifestyle, now they try to make up something that fits in with that. And hello from a first-time poster, short-time lurker.

Posts: 5 04/16/08 12:36:14	Hello everyone,first time poster and sometimes lurker here.Please be gentle .This cover makes me LOL,OVER this sham never started.I admit when they "came out" so to speak I was like "oh that interesting",the more it contiued though the more I was convinced it was a sham.From the over the top fist pumping (who really does that),to the weird baby bump,to my gut feeling.These two don't care about each other at all,at least with Nic I saw some love from Tom IMO.Looking back just by Tom's body lanuage there is no way no how he even really likes Katie as a person.They don't laugh like normal couples,he looks at her like she's a side of prime beef but more in a creepy way.I hope that makes sense,it's not lust or passion it's just...creepy.Looking back Katie seemed more into then he did,she was working hard for that paycheck.He on the other hand...I mean Tommy your spending good money to keep up appearances ,you can do better then that.Now on his being gay,while everyone seems to agree he is I just don't know.Sometimes I think he is and other times I just think he's asexual but will force himself to preform if need be.All I know is there is no way in hell that these two have had sex,their hugs if you can call them that are so poorly done.I mean Tommy can you at least press your no no area into her or something.gasping Whew I know that was wrong sorry.I just find this whole thing is like a car crash...you know you shouldn't but you just can't turn away.

I think it's horrible to put a 2 (yeah right!) year old on the front of a tabloid magazine to speculate her parents ~~shamartital~~ marital problems. However, I recall that CTC dressed Suri up and took her to the park deliberately for a press op for this picture - her parents as much as the mag are to blame here. As a Free Katian (well, kind of lurker ) I am so glad they used a picture of TomKat that perfectly illustrates the nature of the relationship (a la THE GRIP) and the toll it is taking on Katie for all to see. It appeared at the beginning that KAK didn't have much attachment to Suri, but I can't believe anyone wouldn't grow to love that child. Look at her. She is adorable. And she's clearly attached to KAK, if the "Mommy come play too?" story is to be believed -- and since it was related by someone who was present at the shoot but not a media "source", I tend to believe it. Posts: 232 04/16/08 13:36:33	Let me just say that I am really glad that I discovered this board because everyone has an opinion that makes you see things from a different perspective and even if your opinion isn't necessarily agreed on people for the most part seem to respect that. I hope that I have respected everyone's views on things and I would hope I would be given the same courtesy. As much as there is speculation on this board : whether its the prosthetic belly, speculation on whether she really ran the whole marathon, or even if Tom is really suri's biological father none us know anything for sure unless we have direct contact with the two people in question or if we have insider information from reliable sources who know the couple. In my previous post about whether or not Katie is emotionally attached to her child I know I never stated that i know that as fact. Using such words as "IMO" or "I Think" I thought was making pretty clear that I was giving my opinion as an outsider in this scenario. So, In My Opinion I don't think she has an emotional attachement to her child. I am not looking for an argument I just don't really see why my post was singled out as if it was the most outlandish thing anyone could dream of. Its an opinion no more or less valid then anyone elses.

Whether or not Suri is KAK's (still believe she is, BTW ), I too think (or at least hope) a bond has developed there.
