OT: What the Xenu's Volcano??? |
Lead | ||

Even if I wasn't a pro-lifer, I would find this sick and twisted. I hope someone can get this poor girl some psychiatric help, that she'll (and
obviously now) need(s), IMHO

That is horrible.
(Sorry, I need to rant for a bit on it now...) Miscarriage is a horrible, terrible experience. Physically and emotionally. I cried for months after I lost my first pregnancy. To do it intentionally as a contrived, perverted "project" is abhorrent. The idea that she would do this on purpose trivializes women who have experienced miscarriage, and those who have had difficulty conceiving. Wow. I can't believe the level of disconnect that must exist in that girl's head. |

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! There goes my lunch.
So she didn't choose this project for the shock value, huh? Yeah, right. Who in their right mind would consider a miscarriage "beautiful"?

Nevanna - thanks for sharing your story
And ITA with you; I'm still single, but I hope to get married and start a family one day, and it upsets (and disgusts) me that there is someone out there who has such a blatant disregard for both her body and unborn child

I am disgusted - just so damn disgusted! Is this girl for real?? And WTF does it say about the so called Art Major who said that he was "intrigued by the
creativity and beauty of her senior project"?
I'm pro-choice. I believe that every woman is entitled to make an informed decision based on her own life circumstances and conscience. But this creature (sorry, nicest word I could think of to describe her) makes a mockery of all the progress that has been made in the ongoing fight by women to have control over their own bodies and reproductive systems. I also reserve equal disgust for the donors who aided and abetted her knowing what her intentions were and the sick over-wealthed bastards who will no doubt pay big money for such so called works of "art". Final thought: Wonder what her parents think.... Even just typing that line brings an image of Ma Kitty's face looming to my mind that would make me want to pack up and move to a different country in the middle of the night if I had done such a thing. This is truly shocking.
What the hell did she do to her body??? And what is her message anyway? All she mentions is the 'relationship between art and the human body'- how exactly, does her project fit into this? This isn't art, it's a bizarre, voyeuristic, scientifico-emotional experiment. She hasn't defined what it's meant to achieve or express- she talks about politics and ideology, but even then doesn't define what she's trying to say. I am at a loss. |

I love how she says she doesn't need to see a doctor. Let's see if she regrets that decision when (if) she actually does decide to have a child.
I'm all for people doing to their own bodies what they want. I can't tell someone else what to do just as much as I don't want anyone telling me what I should do. HOWEVER, this is uber-pretension to the google-plex degree. It is a big slap in the face to anyone who has desperately tried to have a baby but can't. HOWEVER #2, this is probably exactly the response the girl hoped and expected to get. |

Oh, and on a side note...now that I'm slightly less angry...you're supposed to wait a minimum of three months before attempting to
conceive again. There are all kinds of things that can (and do) go wrong with miscarriage. I'd say her disregard for life extends to her body, as well.

Some people are claiming it's a hoax! Wow, I really hope it's true, as the hoax argument is verrrry convincing...

marconi wrote:New thought just arrived - where's the proof that she ever WAS pregnant or had multiple miscarriages? I know that exhibshit feature video of her in her bathtub supposedly going through them, but did she really or is it all a set up for the controversy, publicity and notorioty? And would a thorough examination from a gynocologist pick up on the signs of multiple miscarriages in a relatively short period of time? EDIT: Marconi beat me to it with her link! I just read the hoax article, marconi - even as a hoax, it's still very demented and beyond words for me

Yes statkika, it is crazy and famewhorish. I think society really encourages this behavior- do whatever it takes to get your 15 minutes of fame no matter what.
But I think we can at least rest easier knowing that a young girl did not abuse her body over and over for 9 months. Young people are stupid- I know because
I'm 23!

I think that if it is a hoax then pulling this stunt is as almost as Xenu-damn stupid as doing it for real. I think her 15 minutes of fame are going to get
rather too hot before she becomes yesterdays news.

After reading that article, I'm beginning to believe it's a hoax. She supposedly inseminated herself repeatedly using donor sperm? Wouldn't it
have been easier just to have sex??

Yes, so the spermies were tested then injected? They would be dead from all the open air time. Loser.
