- $17,000 of fresh flowers
- $5,000 on cakes from Sweet Lady Jane bakery
- $230 of cupcakes from Sprinkles
now one second here....there were supposedly only 24 "take-home" party favor cakes made. So that means either there were 27 peopel there or 27 couples/families. Assuming its the latter, wolfgang puck charged 45K to cook for a party of 60-100 people? so the math people....I knwo anyhting is possible, but it seems a bit ridiculous. maybe he actualyl did the work in person... ditto on the flowers....17k? maybe the inside of the house was done up like a wedding? even IF you say they had 100 people there, thats freaking $450 a person for an afternoon kids party.
and back to the cake for a second...the bakery charges this for weddings..
The pricing schedule for wedding cakes is different than our regular pricing schedule. Sweet Lady Jane wedding cake prices start at $7.00 per person. We will take into account the construction involved for your cake as well as the cake artist's decoration time in the pricing of your particular cake.

That's not a huge cake.. 4-6-8-10.. 65 servings (by my chart anyway). I'm sure she got to smoosh it all up. And $230 isn't a ton of custom cupcakes when you order from Sprinkles. They are close to $50/dozen when they are custom orders I think. It's $36/dozen for off the shelf.
this leads me to believe that they paid all the money to feed and sugar up around 60 people? let's round up and say they were charged $10 per slice. Thats $650 and then the other cakes. The favors were 8 inch cakes, which can be priced for as many as 24 slices. who eats slices that tiny, i dont know, but that could add up to a large bill, close ot the 5k number.
all in all, I think the prices were inflated and the party looked like a hot poo mess. for 100k ti should have looked so much nicer.....adn why the cupcakes too? they are so obsessed with cupcakes it has to be some sceino mind control code word lol. a trigger to spawn other sceinos into action or something.
sorry to re-hash all of this, I am in the midst of making my daughter's cake and have baking on the brain. i just think that either they really did pay this stupid amount of money or they are inflating it to the media so we cna all marvel at their gross excess.
