My daughter talks of nothing else. She's counting down the days to the new book and then the movie. I actually want to see it myself.

The daughter is wearing an Alice costume to her local bookstore's party. She's seriously obsessed.

There will be a behind the scenes of the making of Twilight in the Extras section of Penelope which is released Tuesday 15 June.
This weeks Entertainment Weekly has two of the stars on the cover and 2 articles, one on Stephanie Meyer and the other on the movie itself. http://http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20211840,00.html

Okay, I admit, I am now obsessed w/ the books! I read "Twilight" and "New Moon" in about 3 days! I just could not put it down and pretty
much put the house hold on "ignore" to read
I've got "Eclipse" all ready to start, but I'm trying, very hard, to allow my brain to digest the other two books before I start reading. I know it won't work...I can hear the book calling...LOL! I am looking forward to the movie in December!! Thank goodness for youtube to hold me over!

Is the book (Twilight) seriously that good? Over on Yahoo answers, in the book section, it's all they talk about.
I requested this book from the library months ago, just to see for myself, and have yet to get it. The copies the library had were "lost" and/or "long overdue" so the library is obtaining new copies. Just wondering if the book is so good that it's worth all this fuss.

They're idiots, which I don't necessarily find offensive. But I do find it offensive that they think I'm an idiot and would believe what they're saying. ****************** www.psychoticstate.blogspot.com

I was not interested when all the hype started up. However, I started reading more about it and seeing the clips of the movie online and it looked interesting
so I borrowed the book from my cousin.
I literally could not put it down. I started Saturday night and finished Sunday evening! I'm not kidding when I say I put my family on "ignore"...LOL! I ran to Wal-mart Monday morning to pick up the next 2 books. I finished book 2 last night and tried very hard not to start book 3 until the end of the week, but it got the better of me and I started it last night. Paranormal romance is not something I normally read, but this book is SOOOO good!! The way the Stephanie Meyer describes the relationship between Bella and Edward is amazing, for lack of a better word. And I have to admit, Robert Pattinson in the role of Edward is not too bad either

My daughter got me started on the books. I used to watch Buffy and Angel, so paranormal romance isn't new to me, but I agree, the way Meyer writes it is
phenomenal. Anyone who's read the second book will know what I mean when I say that (and I'm trying not to give away anything here) those
November-December chapters were just.....WOW! She made her point and painted a picture that was so clear that you couldn't help but feel what she wanted
you to feel.

You're not kidding Abby! When I got to that part of the book, and then the next pages had months on them and nothing more, I cried like a baby! It was the
simplest technique and had a huge impact.
I just finished the 3rd book, Eclipse. I honestly tried to take this one slow, but once I started it, I could not put it down. So, now I wait for Breaking Dawn. For anyone looking for a little sample of Breaking Dawn...EW.com is going to have a little "taste" on their site Monday morning.

My daughter kept asking me while I read, "So do you hate Jacob yet? Do you hate him yet?" She was not happy with me that all I could ever muster for
the character was pity. I just couldn't hate him for how he felt.
And yeah, the months with no writing made me cry as well. And I don't often cry at books. The last book before that one that made me cry was My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. That one I had to put the book down, cry until my eyes were hurting and then try to finish reading it. If you've never read it, I highly recommend it. |

I don't "hate" Jacob, but after a while his not being understanding of Bella's feelings toward Edward got on my nerves a bit
I love the choices that have been made for the cast of the movie as well. Kristen Stewart makes a great Bella and Robbert Pattinson is perfect as Edward. Looking forward to that in December. I have not read My Sister's Keeper yet, but have heard it's a tear jerker.

Yeah I just read a blurb about the original book in entertainment weekly one day and decided to pick it up, it actually sat on my bookshelf for like a week
then I took it to work with me and was finished the first one by the next day. I then devoured the other two and am soo excited for the final book. Its just a
very engrossing series, you cant help but get wrapped up in the relationships and the excitement. Im totally on team edward but thats because ive been partial
to vampires forever.

OK I am officially intrigued. I'd never heard of it, but found the 1st one very cheap on Amazon so am going to give it a go.

You will not regret it maum. Or maybe you will because the housework, the husband and everything else will be totally neglected while you read. Unless you can
finish before your husband and little get back.

You'll love it Maum! And yes, the house work, etc. will get neglected. I spent all day Thursday cleaning my house and doing laundry from neglecting
everything the Saturday before
Abby...have you read the first chapter from "Breaking Dawn"? It was the last bit of the "Eclipse: Special Edition". I was able to find it online and if you want it, let me know, I'll PM you with it.

Abby...You've got PM! Let me know if the upload links I sent worked. Enjoy!
In the mean time, have you seen this? It's hard to hear some of the dialog with the echo and the screaming, but it's the extended scene from the Ballet Studio that was shown at Comic Con this week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHqBWarEeVQ And this one, it's a "Field Trip Scene", very rough, but good http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NkYOB5KbZok It goes along with the script too.
