"Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!" "Alive! It's alive! It's alive!" "As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." "I'm an experienced woman. I've been around...Well, all right, I might not've been around, but I've been...nearby."

ETA: Heard that Joanna Second Chance Times Ten Pacitti has now officially gotten the boot. Apparently Idol just realized her connections . . . UH HUH.

"American Idol" Contestant Booted Posted Feb 12th 2009 1:55AM by TMZ Staff TMZ has learned Top 36 "American Idol" contestant Joanna Pacitti was forced to pull out from the show because of ties to an A.I. exec. Last night Joanna made the cut, but this morning "American Idol's" website revealed this: "It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition." So what the hell does that mean? Glad you asked: Joanna's former manger at Geffen (yeah, she had a record deal) is now a big wig at 19 Entertainment (which produces "Idol"). It's unclear how that went unnoticed for five months, but we're told producers demanded her resignation yesterday. We're told Joanna refused to do it. "American Idol" told us "No comment." Felicia Barton took her spot.

America, what have you done? Michael Sarver? Ugh. Up to here with Danny "I am here to inspire America" Gokey. Yeah, Danny, if I lose someone close to me I'm going to think, well how did Danny Gokey handle this? Oh, he went on American Idol! That's useless. I'm ok with Alexis Grace...she can actually sing.

Psychotic, you are just f*cking brilliant! Seriously, blogging Idol should be your full time job, no question about it. I am having a very hard time finding someone to love this season. Well, Norman Gentle, yes, I worship him, I want him to last forever, but he's toast. Adam Glambert, I want to love him, but he's beginning to give me a Constantine vibe, granted, a much cleaner, queenier, flamboyant one, but it's there now and I don't know if I'm going to be able to overlook it. I do find him a gazillion times more entertaining than Danny Has a Dead Wife Gokey, but a few more weeks of massive overpimpage of them both and it will be my pleasure to watch either one receive a shock boot (although their already rabid fanbases make this a statistical impossibility, I know). As for red-headed Allison, she repulsed me completely.

Well, thank you, GR!! You're making me blush . . . and I would love to blog full-time, Idol or otherwise, if bills and crap like that didn't get in the way. He he. Anoop was probably my absolute fave and he was knocked out of the running by the Shock and Awe move of last week. Nothing against Michael Sarver because he's totally adorable in that amusement park big teddy bear game prize kind of way but based solely on performance and longevity? Hmm, don't know about that. And I definitely think Matt Breitzke is the better of the two based on their game night performances. However, I have basically come to the conclusion that unless I stop beating myself with the tone deaf stick and/or start Paula's Vicadin and Vodka Recipe for Validation and Vocal Awareness, I have absolutely no sense of what is commercial and what is not. I'm happy to know I'm not the only currently hearing-endowed person who was utterly repulsed by Allison. How exactly is this girl commercial? Again, how was Amanda Overmyer commercial? I don't see it. And I really don't see how "singing" an 80s big hair/power ballad proves her viability.
I really do find myself mesmerized and fascinated by Adam Fucking Lambert. I think he will get a lot of the tween and teen vote a la Sanjaya and Archuletta - - but he will probably appeal to older females as well because he looks older than 12 and there is something dangerously dirty about him that is apparently speaking to my lady parts. He also has a lot of confidence and he doesn't appear to be afraid to just OWN IT.
I like Alexis Grace and her voice is stunning. Far, far better choice and more talented (in my tone-deaf opinion) than the Marlboro Pack.
I also liked Ricky Bobby Braddy last week and I think he was robbed (as well as Anoop). ' Hopefully either one or both of them will be brought back with this whole wildcard stuff. I will say from where we stand right now, the guys are blowing the girls out of the water. With the exception of Alexis Grace, the girls simply are not bringing it.
