http://tvwatch.people.com/2009/04/09/idols-scott-macintyre-i-deserve-more-credit-from-judges/ Even so, MacIntyre has no regrets. "I'm so glad I got to bring out the shredder and go down in a blaze of glory," he said. "None of us know how long we're gonna be around and I really felt like it would be a tremendous surprise to America if they saw me with an electric guitar on my shoulder. [I thought] they'd be hanging on the edge of their seat waiting for me to play that first chord."
Now, switching gears, how in holy hell did Anoop end up in the bottom two? Looks like Justin Timberlake Lite and Mr. Peepers are going to outlast him after all. Crap. Psychotic, have you been painting on vacation?

GR, I wish I could take credit for that incredible painting of Adam. It just captures the magical-ness that is Adam F. Lambert. he he he.
I imagine that is what Paula's Happy Place looks like - - with the addition of rainbows, tutus and 80s songs on a constant loop.

PP, I think Gokey and LRR are getting votes simply because people either like them or their backgrounds. Nothing to do with their actual performances because this week, both of them sucked ass. And according to Dial Idol, Gokey came in first with LRR second - - totally inexplicable.
Whether you like Adam F. Lambert's personal style or not, he is the only true performer up there. He's having a good time, regardless - - he isn't playing the God card like Gokey, with the freaking harp and looking skyward while singing "Endless Love". Please, can this bitch be any more obvious?

You're a giant step ahead of me, PP, because I don't get hokey Gokey at all. He sounds the same on every freaking song he does. And the judges act like he's sprinkling fairy dust all over them. I'm so confused by the love. Lil Round Ass is hilarious. I have never gotten her appeal. She's not a bad singer, she's just not nearly as good as the judges have been trying to tell us since auditions, or as good as Lil herself thinks she is. I keep hoping that bringing the kids in will fail her - - but I think she's getting the female vote right now.
I will admit that I have been distracted by the pimple or mole on Matt's forehead and then I feel guilty about it. Kind of the same way I felt guilty for not being jazzed over some of Scott's performances. Ultimately I'm a wuss, what can I say? I do think the judges were irrationally harsh to Matt last night - - Breakfast Club, Gokey and LRR/LRA were far worse, IMO.

Gokey wasn't that bad. He wasn't! It was the harp bathed in golden light as the transfigured Sophia Gokey descended from the heavens amidst cherubim and seraphim while Danny sang that was a little much. Now my Allison, yikes, she sucked burro balls. Anoop, te adoro! (Psychotic, your comment about frat boy protecting your privacy, lol! David and I were chuckling about that long after we turned out the lights). I don't know what to make of the bizarre Dial Idol results, but they make me smile. Judges spent how many weeks praising Lil's "mad vocals" and now, when they're ready to discard her, the sheep aren't following? It's hysterical, but it's also going to cost a better singer later tonight. My husband's Adam affair continues unabated. I finally showed him some of Glambert's more infamous homoerotic shots and he didn't flinch. In fact, this pic is now on hubby's bedstand: Bye bye Matt or Kris (or Allison).

maum, to me, hating on Kris is like hating a Care Bear. Just can't do it. And while Kris is a bit height challenged, he seems to own it and not run around stage in man heels so he gets points for that. My suggestion is to listen to Kris sing without looking at him, if necessary. I know some people freak out over his singing out of the side of his mouth. Anyhow, he is infinitely preferable to the goopy fakishness of Gokey.
No, the judges cannot save anyone else now. However, the save would have run out next week - - so if they didn't save Matt last night, they would have been forced to use it or lose it next week. And if, say, Anoop was the bottom vote getter next week, I think it's safe to say they didn't want to use it for him - - and their personal faves, like Adam Fucking Lambert, Breakfast Club and Gokey, are perennially safe.
